Here are some of the pieces I managed to find from my grandfather's parade uniform.

Very nice group for a Lieutenant in the Artillery circa 1934-1940. The rank is noted by the 2 gold stripes on the side of the kepi and on the epaulets, 2 stars with thin wire tassels. On the kepi, there is a very thin stripe just below the second gold bullion wire stripe. I can not make out what color this piping is. Red is for Field Artillery. Yellow is for Heavy Artillery Grea. Do you know what color this is. Most of the time these stripes fade in color. What regiment did he serve in ? Do you also have his uniform ?

He was in the 2nd Heavy Artillery Regiment and was a lieutenant up until 1942. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the whole uniform. I have several belts/sashes.

Victor - Unlike Field Artillery uniforms and kepis that have a red piping, Heavy Artillery (Grea) uniforms and kepis are very scarce to find. These pieces have a distinct yellow piping. This is what your grandfathers uniform looked like. Lieutenant in the Heavy Artillery Grea.
