Hi Guys,
Rather as the FN later became the standard NATO rifle and the AK later became the standard Warsaw Pact rifle, the Czech vz24 was selected by the Czechoslovaks, Romanians and Yugoslavs to be the standard rifle of the inter-war Little Entente. This was very convenient for the Germans, who captured all the Czech and Yugoslav examples, because the vz24 was almost identical to their own standard rifle and fired the same round. Cheers, Sid. |
