Last year, while shopping for plywood for our entry in the "Flugtag" competition (you get tu build homemade gliders, and then try to fly them off a ramp over the river Dambovita... ours got trampled by a mob 5 minutes before take-off, and then tore apart catastrophically in mid-air) I was at Pipera, and ran into the old hangars of the airfield, now used as warehouses for a wood supplies firm. I will try to get back to you with pictures on that one.

I read today in Romania libera that the last two remaining building from Cotroceni airfield were demolished. Lucky i did a set of pictures! |
