I am reading the book "Pumnul tarii" by Dan Stoian. He is refering to a frind of his that is pyloting a He111 and is using the airfield PALAS-CONSTANTA. Is for the first time i hear about this airfield, any ideea wher it was?

Sorry! I missed it, Carol I posted a satelite image of the posible location, anyway, i was expecting something near Constanta.

The image I have posted there is for a location approximately 30-35 km NW of Constanţa. I corresponds only roughly to the 'Carol I' airfield mentioned by Dénes, since there is no settlement at approximately 1 km SE corresponding to the Carol I village mentioned in the description. On the other hand, Palas is a suburb east of Constanţa (take a look at the map below from http://www.aboutromania.com/maps79.html). Maybe Wings_of_wrath, D13-th_Freak or Claudiu1988 can offer more details. |

Carol I, you surely mean that Palas is a suburb West of Constanta, not East.
