As you can see on this topic: http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?sh...hl=ladies&st=15 it was a custom during the 1920s – 1930s to make photos of ladies wearing their husbands or boy friends uniforms, for fun…
The dreamy lady in the photo wears a M. 1924 (khaki) officer uniform with the raining cape. Unfortunately we cannot identify the branch of service of the officer, nor the rank, because on the everyday uniform (with collar patches), all officers had only one horizontal braid on their kepis. |

The lady wears a junior officer uniform of WW2. The lapels shape and the soft shoulder straps indicate a M.1941 uniform, which was worn until early 1948. According the cap badge (the grenade) the uniform belonged to an infantry or frontier troops (“Graniceri”) officer. These two branches of service were marked by the distinctive colour: medium blue for infantry and light green for frontier troops… In a b/w photo it’s difficult to say to what branch of service the officer belonged. Unfortunately, no Navy or submarine uniform… |
