Not a very clear photo (taken from an old newspaper). The members of the White Squadron were invited by a hight ranking Romanian officer together with a Spanish General to a dinner. The problem was that at that time M.Dragescu have not been eaten cooked food for a very long period. After eating ,she start feeling sick ,since her stomac could not digest the food. A military doctor, who was present took her out ,in order to help her vomit. Since he had no succes,he took her to a nearby field, where were hundreds of horse carcases in dif stages of rottening. The smell was horible, buy with no results.. After a while the found some medicinal salts, and MD start feeling better. In the photo, she's on the left, with the Romanian officer giving her the dessert wrapped. |
