It appears to be a type I badge of the order in use between 1881 and 1932. Furthermore, the case places it during Carol I's reign.

I presume it is the same box mentioned in Box Order of the Crown of Romania.

It is a nice commander's cross with case. I think it's worth it, if you have the money.
