They were ground attacks, not victories.

I my opinion it's still unclear issue with this bars.

Why some of E-mils have only one or two bars and others ( big aces) like Vinca,Dicezare and Stefan Greceanu have 5 or 8 bars.
I don't think that only big aces participate in ground attack missions and the others only zooming in the sky over the target.

Mayby they are ground victories (not ground attacks) . That means planes destroyed on the ground. It sound more logical.

Craciunoiu made the same mistake..
I asked Dicezare, and he told me that those were ground missions.
They stopped painting them since the war became longer then expected and there were too many.
On each bar there was the date and the place of the ground mission.Ex "Bulgarica".

Not on all planes. (See the picture of "Hai Fetito").

Very strange . Some stop painting them after one mission and other (like Dicezare wink.gif ) stop painting after 5 missions.

Funny, Lt. Teodor Greceanu had painted only two bars and started the war in the same time with Dicezare blink.gif That means some pilots missed the ground attack missions. Lucky for them tongue.gif

It was not the ground mission itself...
The SUCCES of the GM...
If you hit a train, tank, truck etc etc.
On a certain "hai FEtito " there are about 5 bars...

So it means ground victories. One train destroyed, 2 trucks, 2 horse wagons was enough to paint 5 bars ground victories tongue.gif

It's a Hawker Hunter, like it says in the caption. The Lightning had the air intake in the nose.
