The Order of Ştefan cel Mare has been established on 30 July 1992. The badge of the order is a star made of gold plated silver with the portrait of Ştefan cel Mare in the centre. The main rays of the star are ended in cubic zirconium stones.

According to www.soviet-medals-orders.com, the Medal for Bravery was produced at the State Mint in Bucharest.

According to www.soviet-medals-orders.com and the general appearance of the ribbon, the Medal for Military Merit was probably produced at the State Mint in Bucharest.
