Romanian Military Terms

This is my first post, although I've enjoyed the website and the forum for many months now. I hope that someone can help me with the correct Romanian translation for some common English military terms. I have a list below and what I think may be the right equivalents, but would very much appreciate it if someone could confirm or correct the words for me. I don't have the subscripts and superscripts for particular Romanian letters, so if these could be included I would aslo be very thankful. I also had a couple of questions:
1. Is the rank of Plutonier equivalent to the British rank of Warrant Officer? How was a Plutonier defined in the Romanian army?
2. Is there a particular Romanian term for teams of men who were dedicated "tank destroyers"?

Cristian's translations are good, but I would like to make some corections:

VEHICLES
Armoured car = Autoblindat
Tank = Car de Lupta (the term "Tanc" is a modern one. At the time of WW2 the French terms were used, hence the "Car de Lupta" from "Char de Bataille")
Assault gun = Tun de asalt
Tank destroyer = Vanator de care
Self propelled gun = Autotun

Navy = Marina Regala Romana

Many thanks to Cristian and Victor, no doubt they were a little amused by my attempt . I had noticed that the ending of Romanian words seems to depend on context, so I was grateful that others could help me get this right.

Actually it depends on whether the noun is singular or plural, subject or object etc. And the adjectives follow the trend.

Regarding your two questions.

1. Yes, I believe that is the correct correspondence between Romanian and British ranks. Here you have the correspondence between Romanian and US Army ranks.

2. The term for the tank destroyer teams was "vanatori de care"

The ending depends on whether the word has an article.
An example:

Artillery - Artilerie
The Artillery - Artileria

So the article for the feminine gender is -a.

Corporal - Caporal
The Corporal - Caporalul.

So the article for the masculine gender is -ul.

This can explain some of the differences between your initial list and the changes Cristian and Victor operated. Carol I also pointed out the singular/plural thing.

I'm New here as well.

My question related to Romanian military terms as well. With the use of French military doctrine what would you call the Poste Central Du Groupe in Romanian, the central fire direction post who operate as the artillery observer control group allocating the Artillery battery fire as the observers call it in?

The Americans used this system as well and call it the fire direction centre.

Of course, we Americans would spell it "Fire Direction Center".

But artillerymen usually just call it the FDC (same in either language, English or American)

What about a list of basic commands? Can anyone provide this as well?

I am currently reworking on the Romanian OOB for the Game SPWAW
I could use some help with a few names and terms

For instance i could use a better names for

Anti Tank Mine Team
Submachine Gun Squad
Sniper
Special Ops Squad ( I am using "Special Operati" but fear it is wrong)
Panzerfaust Team
Anti Tank Rifle Team

Also can 'Escadron' be shortened to 'Escad' and be correct??

Any help is appreciated.

We could give you translations for these terms, but I am afraid some would not be historically accurate.

There were no special names for AT Mine teams, Panzerfaust teams and AT Rifle teams. All were considered vanatori de care, wether they were armed with AT mines, Molotov cocktails or Panzerfausts.

Sniper is lunetist.

There were no such things as Special Operations squads or SMG squads.

The short form od Escadron is Esc.

No special forces like German Brandenburgers, or US Rangers, British SAS?
