Hello, I think it will be interesting to show here photos of my cavalry carbine Krnka from the Rissian-turkish war 1877-1878 from my militaria collection.
This Russian rifle system was the main weapon of the Russian army in the war, but It was also used by the most of the Romanian dorobanz regiments and the Bulgarian volunteer legion. Actualy, are there in this forum other collectors of weapons from the 1877-1878 war ?

Nice Krinka rifle. Any Krinkas are considered rare to find. I have one in prestine Museum condition with Imperial Russian markings and dates on it. Does your Krinka have Romanian or Bulgarian markings on it ?

Yes, here in Bulgaria become Krnk-s more rare and more expensive too. My carbine has Imperial Russian markings, markings of the Tula arms factory and Sestoreck arms factory. It has also marking of the Russian count, who delivered the rifle to the new Bulgarian army after the war.(Many Krnks were gave as present form the Russians after the war to the new Bulgarian army)
The year on the percussion mechanism is 1870.

No, but I am trying to take another Krnka rifle (infantry model) from a friend of mine. biggrin.gif Unfortunately I missed a week ago Autrian Imperial Gasser revolver in a very good price. The other weapons I have are some bayonets.
