During and after the Cold War (1945-1991), what weapon systems did Romania use or is using to assure its air defense?

Do you know when it entered service and when it was withdrawn?

Any idea in what numbers it was distributed?

Thank you!

Sources for the photos, please.

Victor, the 1st and 3rd of the thumbnails are cropped from MApN's Land Forces page. I know because I thought about posting them here earlier today too. smile.gif
Horia, the first 2 links are dead. There is no image uploaded to IS for them.

take care

Do not forget ww2 time AAA guns from different provenience, and ZPU-2, and 4 HMG with 2, respectively 4 tubes who are even now in current service. Also 2*30 mm i think, russian system. I saw a lot of them in a neighbor military unit in Calarasi. Also 100 mm AAA guns.

Excellent! Just what I've been looking for!

Are the SA-2, SA-6 and SA-8 still in service today? If not, when have they been withdrawn and what have they been replaced with?

Can someone confirm whether or not the SA-3 has ever been in use with Romania's air defence forces?

Besides the launching vehicle, how is the CA-95 different from the SA-9? Have any improvements been done?

All the systems in my previous post are in service today, according to the official data.
