Where were some of the airfields that ARR planes operated from inside Romania itself?

Zilistea Boboc-Buzau
Buzau Galati Iasi Constanta Cioara Doicesti Brasov Targu Mures Craiova Caracal Arad Baia Mare Pipera-Buc. Baneasa-Buc Clinceni-Buc Popesti-Leordeni-Buc Otopeni-Buc Ploiesti Pitesti Oradea Satu Mare Timisoara Tecuci Cluj Someseni Turnu Severin *Some of the air bases ,like Cluj,were civil airfields but sometimes they were used as militari airfields. |

In the latest issue of the French aviation magazine 'Avions', there is a photo on p. 34 showing the entrance to "Niculae Capsa" Airport, with military sentry on the two sides of the gate.
Does anyone know where was this airfield located? Dénes |

When you search keep in mind the Nicolae Capsa variant. Regardless which was his initial baptize name the 'o' variant became eventually far more popular and it is common to use the 'o' instead of 'u'. It is also quite probable his name was Nicolae from the start. It's a minor thing but who knows. At least a search for Nicolae Capsa produced a couple of results. The street in Bucharest wearing his name uses Nicolae also.

There was also Gheraesti and Giulesti (also in Bucharest)

The mentioned name of the airfield was actually taken from a period photograph, as it was spelled there: "Niculae Capsa". Again, as mentioned earlier, when talking of history one should not use hindsight (in this case updating former names to current spelling) and should stick to historical facts. Dénes |

Here's another question:
What was the average size of a base and how many planes usually operated from it? I know of course that there many different sizes, but typically speaking. |

It was big dif. between the airfields:sone like Pipera had big infrastructure on it,repair ateliers,casarms,comandment buildings and so on.
Others like Baltomir,in Transilvania,were only a few baracs. The nr of planes is imposible to tel especialy in time of war. |
