The highest ARR medal is "Virtutea Aeronautica In Grad De CAvaler"
Which was weared at the neck.
As far as I know only two got it and only one was an activ pilot.
The first is Emanoil Ionescu and the pilot is Ion Mucenica.
Am I right? or there are others ?

You are practically wrong at everything you said. biggrin.gif
The Comandor class was the highest and was worn around the neck. I believe only five were awarded in total, including peacetime awards, but I will have to look into it.

Anyway, the award was the highest after the MV Order, until November 1937, when it was relegated to no. 9. However, for the airmen it remained after the MV Order and there are pictures with it being worn to the rightmost side, in front of other decorations.

There were only five Romanians who received the Commander class:
Prince George Valentin Bibescu (1930)
Gen. comandant av. Emanoil Ionescu (1945)
Cpt. av. Prince Constantin Cantacuzino (1945)
Lt. av. Mircea Badulescu (1946)
Adj. maj. av. Ioan Mucenica (1946)

I do not know yet exactly how many foreigners received this class, but there were more.

Indeed, it is. Too bad it was awarded more to foreigners, than to Romanians, especially since there were more pilots that deserved it and did not receive it, like Serbanescu.

I take it this is your way of saying you were wrong.

Btw, "Post Reply" is just a button. You can write whatever you please in the post. Even a protest.

You make some statements and then you ask if you are correct. And I replied: you are wrong. What is your problem?

The Military Virtue was eshtablished by Royal Decree at 31st July 1930. It had four classes: Crucea de Aur (Golden Cross), Cavaler, Ofiter, Comandor

The first receiver was Gheorghe Fernic ,,Golden Cross'' by Royal Decree at 20th September 1930

The ,,Comandor'' receivers were:

1. George Valentin Bibescu (20th September 1930)

2.Emanoil Ionescu (11st April 1945)

3. Constantin Cantacuzino (11st April 1945)

4. Mircea Badulescu (29th July 1946)

5. Ioan Mucenica (29th July 1946)

Is posible that King Michael have ,,Comandor'' too, but I did not find the Royal Decree.
