I understand that during the invasion of Russia in 1941 Romanian soldiers were supposed to wear a yellow armband so that they were not mistaken for Russians. I have also seen pictures of Romanian soldiers wearing red, yellow and blue tricolour armbands, after August of 1944, so that they were not mistaken for Hungarians. How often did they really wear these armbands? Thanks.
