Another graphic depicting the Elisabeth Cross.
This time from a Liebig trade card in my collection. The card is from the series "Orders awarded to women" (Sanguinetti number 0831), which I think dates from 1905. Detail of the Elisabeth Cross in the lower left corner of the card. On the front of the card the cross is wrongly named as the "Roumanian Cross of Merit". However, this is corrected on the reverse of the card where the name Elisabeth Cross is used. Another error by the artist is the ribbon - it looks like the Military Virtue ribbon, rather than the blue with gold edge stripes ribbon of the actual elisabeth Cross.
