In Roumania is hard to find german helmets in decent condition and with decals. In case they do come out, they are very expensive.
Anyway, you do have some great pieces! |

Hello very nice helmets, they are great. Yes in Romania is very hard to find german ww2 helmets and if you do they are in very poor condition and also very expensive. In my colection I have one M42 Heer helmet (complete) and 3 relic helmets a M40, M42 and a M34.
If you want to sell some of your helmets let me know . |

Andi,Claudiu,thanks for yours replies.
I tink that the expensive price is not only a Romania problem. Two weeks ago,in the WA forum (USA),was sold an SS N42 helmet for $4900.If you want buy an ORIGINAL helmet as this in Italy you pay around €3000/3500.The price are expensive in all the world and if you see SS helmet for sale in delears web site for €1500/1800 you can be sure are REPRO!Maybe caused by Internet the price are every mounth too much hig. I'm looking for one officer's schirmutze from some years.Bill Shea on www.therupturedduck.com have one for sale at $11.500.......this is a krazy and funny price!! The only way is find it from old collection! Regards, Francesco This post has been edited by Francesco on March 15, 2006 07:34 pm |

Great collection, Francesco!
What other items do you have in your collection, besides helmets? Could you post some of your other items? If you've been doing it for 20 years, you must have some great pieces... |

Hi Francesco,
Why the particular focus on a political militia like the W-SS? Why not on the German Army, which won all Germany's great victories in WWII without indispensable W-SS support? Cheers, Sid. |

Hi Sid,
The SS have been fundamental in the greater battles of the WW2.They are always been first to advance and the last ones to withdraw in order to cover the German army withdrawn. Actions like the conquest of Belgrade, taken alone three officers of the SS ,were not therefore rare. The waffen SS has been one of the greatest European phenomena of the pased century .Vi joined young people of all Europe. Moreover the uniforms evolution has been made from the SS like the camouflage clothing. Cheers, Francesco P.S. excuse my bad English This post has been edited by Francesco on April 03, 2006 09:23 pm |
