I just don't get the ideea of writing a book at this size and quality,and printing only 500 exeplars...

Maybe the authors had to pay the printing, or at least they may had to guarantee the cost with an equivalent amount. I knew once somebody who got 2,000,000 lei from the Soros Foundation (I hope my memory do not betray me) and he spent all these money for the publication of his autobiography, which is really interesting. (Title: Transhimeria - Author: Dumitru Mircescu) The leu/dollar ratio was not as today, so the money was enough. Unfortunately, I think he is dead now. He did not have telephone, and the door of his mailbox was open, so in other words we lost contact since I left the country. This post has been edited by Florin on March 21, 2006 01:29 pm |
