Hello mach, welcome to this forum !
I strongly recommend you buy the book "Istoria unui erou necunoscut IAR-80" written by Dan Antoniu and George Cicos. It also includes many pictures of IAR-80 and more data then one could hope for smile.gif

Well, if you are Romanian, contact mr. Antoniu or mr. Cicos (http://www.dantoniu.go.ro) and see if they still have this book for sale:

well, i have sended a message to mr antoniu and i am waiting the answer about the book costs.meanwhile , i have discovered some interesting data on iar-80 on this forum(eg the profile of the 80 with bmw-801 or the photo of the the 80 with db-601)also intersting data on iar 47 and iar 471.may i ask the radiator of iar 80 with db-601/605(or is possibly that the engine may actually be still jumo-211d?)
is similar to that on jrs-79b? it seems to me that the drawing of it from topgun is little wrong because the wheels of the 80 are very close to eachother when retractedand and seems the radiator bypasses them. also anyone has a profile or photo of the" full" iar-47?thank you.
