Today, 8th of April and tomorrow , 9th of April, a new antiques fair will be held in the courtyard of the City of Bucharest Museum (Sutzu Palace), near the University Square.
Even if this is not a Militaria fair, as we hope to have at the Military Museum, during the “Museum’s Weekend” (of 13th-14th of May), I think this event worth a tour. Sometimes military antiques could be found at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy many things as my funds run out sad.gif , so I only bought these two: a Austrian made IMCO cigarette lighter (also used in WWII) in very good condition (working) and an original Romanian WWII belt buckle with the crown on it (a very rare item as it only made at the beginning of the war).

The pictures:
The lighter is together with my old one that is old and rusty.

The WWII belt buckle; a very interesting fact is that it was painted brown.

PS The buckle cost me 40ron and the lighter 20ron.

The other items I've seen and liked were a VZ 24 bayonet in good condition (it only needed cleaning), a canteen that might have been Romanian, WWII a Daimond flashlight (that was a bit rusty, missing the attaching leather and a bent in switch but reparable), a Berthier bayonet (complete with the scabbard in a very good condition) and a few more small things.

The first price was 200ron so it wasn't so big I expected something over 300ron, knowing the Romanian prices. The only problem was that it had the locking nut jammed.

I'll sure be there at the militaria fair. I'll be glad to meet with anyone from this forum.

I've been today to the fair at Sutu Pallace, but couldn't find what I was looking for. sad.gif Bought just a picture with two girls infront of a millitary truck. It was taken in Botosani in 1941.

This weekend took place again the collector’s fair at Sutzu Palace. I was there today but noting interesting, at a decent prices, except this Christian Calendar from 1944, probably Romanian soldiers might have had from home and it's a nice piece together with my Soldiers Calendar from 1944.
