Here is a comparison between the tailwheel of a He112 and the crash.
A 112 may be a lot more likely than a 109. There are some similarities, especially the "spur" behind the tailwheel. There are no tailwheel doors or tailwheel retraction opening, but then again they may have closed shut during the crash. The yoke has the right rake but it is missing the yoke-mounted door, which again may have come off during the crash. Still, it is hard to tell what the plane is. See the comparison here: [img=http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8199/untitled1rh3.th.jpg] Radu This post has been edited by Radub on December 07, 2006 11:48 am |

No you didn't. You showed 2 pics of one not dammaged tail-wheel and one dammged tail-wheel. In fact your pics only made me think it is a 109 and not something else. Besides, Denes asked for opinions, I gave mine, you don't like it ? It is your problem and not mine. Prove it ? Am I judged for something ? Want to know what made me say it is a 109 ? Experience - that's all. I must prove nothing to you or anybody else. I repeat: you do not agree with me ? Fine, I have no problem with that. But don't patronise me ! PS: even if I am wrong - which ofcourse can happen to anyone - there is no need to BS me like that. I am not your friend, child, or whatever so you patronise me when you feel like. This is quickly turning into an argument "based" on bullying rather than evidence. Why are you so aggressive? Radu |

The tone you used towards me several posts ago annoyed me deeply.
I will elaborate a little more why I think it is a 109 - as I already said it has something to do with experience, a certain experience with shapes (especially those of the 109) seen for many hours from almost every single angle. This experience with shapes made me belive it is a 109, also the energy of impact of aprox. 74 000 kJ should be more then enough to distort the configuration of the tail wheel, which leads you to think "it is not corectly alligned" , "it has a differnt angle between the wheel and the arm", etc. I have my reasons to belive it is 109, reaons based on a certain experience. I am not just talking out of my arse. And ofcourse - I can be wrong, however that is no need for bashing me. This post has been edited by D13-th_Mytzu on December 07, 2006 12:45 pm |

I am not discussing this from the position of an expert - I am discussing this based on facts and photographic evidence.
All I can tell you is that I am not sure that that is a 109. I thought I also showed photographic evidence to support this claim. Everyone else can see those photos and make their own minds. Radu |

I would say it's rather "ALIMENTS", from French. It could be a requisitioned civilian truck. Gen. Dénes |

Then it could have been a mess car ("masina de popota").
