Apparently the intelligence service has been tracking this guy for nearly 2 years.

Read about it here

He's a Muslim convert protesting Romania's involvement in Iraq

I will get a lot of flack for saying this : it is a SRI image cleansing operation after the "chicken" blow from the last months. In case no one know there's another plot, heavy rain was controlled remotely by some bad enemy of Romania. Who that is, is still a mistery.
I begin to think that our politicians (and SS) are completely retarded.

It wasn't you arrested in the bomb plot?

Or you weren't the sinister enemy of Romania controlling the weather? (And probably the same one controlling it over the eastern USA now)

Oddly enough I know this individual, also going by the name of "Leshie", in Lugoj, the town I was born in. The fellow, as I remeber him, does not quite fit the profile of the mass murdering terrorist ph34r.gif, rather a weak personality unsure.gif and low IQ huh.gif. Romanian Jihad-ists are still in the "stone age" of terrorism if one like Leshie, would be their front line of defence(... errr I mean attack:D ). What a couple years in the US Marines can do...just remember Timmy McVeigh...almost leveled an entire office building.

I remember one suicide bomber in Iraq whose mother came to us, weeping, because her boy was extremely mentally retarded and was talked into doing it by Fedayeen. The mentally weak make excellent candidates for "action" of this sort.

Yeah he was so bright to make videos staring himself, and to have P.K.K. tattooed on his arm, and have a big MOUTH.

Just another WANNABE seeking 5 mins of glory now he will have 5 years plus in a prison, I hope he has a nice time, can't imagine there is much of a Mosleam clique in there to watch his back blink.gif

.........In case no one know there's another plot, heavy rain was controlled remotely by some bad enemy of Romania. Who that is, is still a mistery.
I begin to think that our politicians (and SS) are completely retarded.
.....

I read the link in Romanian.
I do not comment about plots and enemies of Romania, but you should not that not only is technically possible to create artificial rain, but also this was already tested at least 20 years ago.
About 20 years ago I read an article regarding a joint research between Soviet Union and Switzerland. During that coordinated project, some Soviet missiles spreaded chemicals at high altitude, somewhere in Switzerland, with the purpose of creating artificial rain. Those chemicals forced the water from clouds to change from vapor to droplets. The test was a success.

Now, returning to the core of this topic, I heard yesterday that Tariceanu, with quite a wide Romanian politic support and against the will of Basescu, wants our troops out of Iraq. He exposed the reasons, so I am not entering into it.

This leads to at least 2 things:
1. The Romanian politicians are not completely retarded.
2. Once the Romanian troops will be out of there, even insane people like the one described in this topic will not see a reason to harm their co-nationals somewhere in Romania.

It is indeed possible to create artificial rain.At least that's what I have read before. However,if it is so easy and reliable , how comes that where is realy needed the rain doesn't even think to come (e.g. Africa)
I have watched (not heard) the news yesterday (Romanian ones) and it occured extremely clear to me that Tariceanu have no political support at all. More than that, he exposed his party to a big risk now. There are two camps now in the party and only now Tariceanu understands what a big idiocy that was. Not only external but also internal.
I don't know for you,but message given to our allies it is exactly the same message our former allies had in 1944: pay extremely attention to Romania. They are not reliable allies. I am extremely delighted CSAT rejects the 'PNL move'. At least once in our history to respect our word given to friends and allies. Even if they are just momentarly ones.
Returning more on topic, it is pretty clear to me that the person held in the so called 'gas tank terrorist' it is a person with mental problems. I am sure that his feelings were not dictated by any doctrine or religion but by his (twisted) mind. I reckon he will spend some time from now in some institution where he will be under observation for a while. Of course in few years nobody will remember about him.

Which leads to the same conclusion:
1)Romanian politicians are pretty much retarded
2)With or without Romanian troops in Irak there it won't be any change anywhere ,anyhow on this planet.Let alone in Romania.

BTW: didn't occured to you that Patriciu went quite un-noticed lately? Well, that might be one of the reasons.Keep the power busy with something else ... Pretty obvious. At least to me.

If we please we can get out of Irak, what's the problem? Coalitions are not set in stone.

Of course there's no problem. It is only about the message we will send. Which is the key of the whole story.
But we should discuss about it in another thread, perhaps?

PS: don't forget, we are not Spain,Italy or Japan.

The message is clear - we dont want to stay in Irak any longer. Big deal. We only had 800 troops anyway, we wont be missed. If Basescu is too worried about the message sent, he should assign those 800 troops to Afghanistan, supplementing the contingent there.

p.s. exactly, so why should we stay if they left?

i keep hearing this argument and i do not understand why people do not get that it is just empty propagandistic crap. seriously now, can anyone name any country in this world that has been politically consistent over a larger period of time?

come on, this is just an illusion - there are only stable interests, that is it. if the interest of romania is to stay in Irak , it sure as hell is not because it believes in the version that not even the US does not believe anymore - the whole - its' the weapons of mass destruction/deposing saddam/democracy in irak - thing. also, if it will leave, i bet it will not be because Basescu cannot sleep at night worried that 70% or romanians want the troops back. not evenif it were 90 percent, the decision would still be a political one based on interest. all countries do the same, blaming one for doing it is moronic.

so there is no support for the war in irak here in romania. wow, that is real news. we knew that from 2003, but the mouthpieces of the nation jumped on the bandwagon for a bone from washington. remember the coalition of the "willing"?

but again and again, ignoring these facts people use the - "oh no, the world will look down on us if we leave". that is a worthless argument. most of europe, and i mean the ordinary people, not the politicians, already look down on us. face facts, romanians are not exactly winning popularity contests in the world. and the politicians, well...you know how their words are - PC and bullshit basically.

plus, like Imperialist already said, we weren't exactly the spearhead of the irak war anyways.

and for those believing that the US REALLY cares about romanian interests, allow me to faint due to laughter...
