S-57 mine barrage

Hi list,

Does anybody know were the S-57 mine barrage was what probably sunk the German cargo ship Arkadia?

Arkadia first name was Amsel build in 1927- in 1934 transferred to Argo line and became Arkadia - tonnage 1756.

Has somebody maybe more info about the Arkadia - photo's etc?

And is there someone who has more technical info about the Locotenent Stoicescu who sunk during a storm in the Capul Tuzla Area?
Yesterday i found a wreck between Costinesti and Capul Tuzla - seems old for me, ribbons, boiler and a lot of copper and bronze. in the area of this wreck they mentioned a small wreck with machine guns - can be the LT. Stoicescu??

Which depth of water is with position 41,18 N 18,49 E?
Down everything at data to the ship, unfortunately only into German.

Many thanks for the information about the Arkadia. It seems strange for me that the ship was raised after the war. I checked the coordinates 41-18N / 18-49E but they are not correct. It brings me between Italy and Yugoslavia in the Adriatic.

Do you have maybe more information about ships during the war what sunk in the black sea and in particular Romanian territorial waters? You have a idea if there is a photo exciting from the Arkadia?

German is no problem for me.

Till now i found no S-57 mine barrage, was this a Romanian barrage?

The same day as the Arkadia sunk also Raumboat R 36 when she was planting boys. Does someone know to which unit this ship belong or more detailed info?

Messerschmitt, avoid taking up the bad habit of correcting typing errors. They happen, no need to make a big fuss of it. Let's try to be more mature about this, shall we?

The 3. Rb Flotille (stationed in the Black Sea) had in 1943 the Rb-35 and the Rb-37. Maybe the Rb-36 had been assigned to it before its loss.

The R37, i found on the forum that it was attacked at 26-04-44 near Constanta by 12 aircraft's. Is it known if she sunk or was she only damaged?
