I begun to compile a db with romanian aerian units used in Crimea, here is what I have so far:

23 February 1943: Gr.4 Vt. (4th FG) is switching to IAR-80 armed with 20mm Ikaria cannons.

24 February 1943: the 4th FG is preparing to leave at Cetatea Alba.

26 February 1943: Esc. 43 from the 4th FG is based on Evpatoria airfield.

30 April 1943: Esc. 49 from the 4th FG armed with 13xIAR-80 with 20mm Ikaria cannons is moving on Evpatoria.

1 May 1943: Esc. 49 with 10xIAR80 on Evpatoria

2 June 1943: Esc. 49 with 10 IAR80 on Evpatoria

29 May 1943: Esc. 49 the following planes ?leaving for Evpatoria?
Nr. 283 Cpt. Bran Nicolae
Nr. 243 Adj. Mazilu Mircea
Nr. 257 Adj. Mihordea Mihai
Nr. 261 Adj. Dumitrescu Ioan
Nr. 247 Adj. Taflan Eugen
Nr. 253 Adj. Bucur Gheorghe
Nr. 259 Slt. Butnaru Gheorghe
Nr. 245 Adj. Profir Mihai
Nr. 249 Adj. Ghetner Virgil
Nr. 255 Adj. Pop Gheorghe

7 July 1943: 5 IAR80 are enroute to Evpatoria. On the same day the Esc49 obtains aerial victories.

17 July 1943: Esc.49 obtains another victory. It is still based on Evpatoria. It recieves the visit of the Group Commanders.

? Between 16.07.1943 - 31.07.1943 Esc.43 was on Evpatoria ?
Between 16.07.1943 - 31.07.1943 Esc.49 was on Evpatoria

27 November 1943: Esc.49 with 12xIAR80 based at Evpatoria

4 January 1944: Esc.49 with 10xIAR80 is based on Saki

10 January 1944: Esc.49 had the following planes - 253, 263, 264, 254, 258, 243, 247, 249, 257, 259, 267, 275.

15 February 1944: ? Esc.45 with 10xIAR80 on Saki ?

16 March 1944: Esc.49 has 3 victories

9 April 1944: Esc.49 ends its activity at Sai and returns to the country with 7 planes.

Conclusions: between 23rd February 1943 and 9th April 1944 there was at least one IAR80 squadron (armed with 20mm cannons) based in Crimea, with an avarage number of planes (d and i) of 12.

I am not sure if certain data (marked with "?" in my post) is coorect, if you have more info about this subject please post it.
