I think the July 20, 1944 plot was a farce by desperate, though brave, men. In 1933-39 there was alot of opposition to Hitler. In 1943-44 there was alot of opposition to Hitler as it bacame more and more apparent that Germany was going to lose the war. FROM MAY 1940 TO STALINGRAD THERE WAS NOTHING IN OPPOSITION OF HITLER. That tells me thte plot was carried out by generals who saw tactical differences with Hitler but knowing the atrocities carried on by the SS in the OST, wanted to spare Eastern Germany from same fate.

Just seen that! Not really! This is a myth fueled by the Soviet (or at least Soviet-inspired) researchers and media, to minimize the role of German opposition to Adolf Hitler and/or NSDAP. There were civilians and some military; there weren't really visible, but still: they existed, and it's much more than we could say for any communist country after the fifties.
