I found 2 variants of the same video, called "Eliberarea Basarabiei" (Liberation of Basaerabia)

The loading cannon shown on the first seconds seem to be a Schneider-Putilov (or Krupp?) artillery piece. But what is with these StuG's? They look like IV's or III F. Are romanians?
An interesting wreck appears at 0:55 second. Is it a russian one?
Interesting are the civilians saluting with "Heil"...

There was a German StuG Brigade with the 11th Army (the 190th).

The video is obviosuly a recent compilation. The long-barelled Stug appeared in 1942 and I don't think the ones in the clip have something to do with the campaign in Bessarabia.

Yes, I think that is a video capture from a romanian documentary, like the ones released by Ministry of Defence: White Squadron or Romanian Army in ww2. They use to compile sequences from different theatres of operations together. Or from some tv films...

No, I think it's rather a clip of an amateur nationalist individual.

that's either a StuG III F/F8 or possibly a StuH 42 with a 10.5cm howitzer, but the barrel seems to be too long for that model so it's more likeley a StuG III F. since both didn't appear prior to 1942, it cannot be from the '41 campaign.

This Stug sequence appears in a documentary on Discovey (Battlefields) about the battle of Kursk, more precisely when they are getting to Oboyan.

Right Dragos, the clip IS (sure is, the quality os too low for a proffesional one) of an "amateur nationalist individual" who used the capture card (Pinnacle) or other to capture somethong from Battlefields or other documentary and compiled with (by the help of Windows Movie maker) real Basarabia liberation sequences. I have the sequence of throwing down the bolshevik star on "Escadrila alba" documentary, made by TPA. The soft top (Ford Marmon? Romanian Ford?) trucks are from the same film. The film is really good and I got it from a Viata Militara. official release, few years ago.
