There were 3 priests reprezenting all christianity.
A lot of military attach. and diplom.
There were also some faik romanian veterans, some with 4 stars on their scholders.
A 2 star aviator (Dobran has only one) who flew only one mnission (and was schoot down in it).
What I liked was that the american and british pilots (some spoke some rom.) gave a lot of respect to the REAL ARR vets.

I am sorry that I was not able to attend the Commemoration at Tincabesti myself, but I did attend a similar service in Edinburgh Scotland on Sunday morning before flying back to Romani that evening. I very much hope that the Vets enjoyed the experience and God willing, hope that I can stand there with them next year.

When saw rom. WWII vets, american pilots asked who were the "Messerschmitt's" pilots. I made the presentation of Mr Dobran and Mr Marinciu translating their opinion regarding the characteristic of Bf 109 G. One american asked Marinciu if he meet Cpt.Cantacuzino. " Ofcourse , I was his wingmen" was Marinciu reply.

Well, if he's indeed 'Messerschmitt', then he is a veeeeeeeeeery old looking 12-year-old. blink.gif

Of course, you're young, Cantacuzino. At least at heart.
Anyhow, I think you're younger than I...
