I'm looking for a good picture of a standard Romanian infantry belt used in WW2. Especially of the beltbuckle. I've seen standard emtpy silver buckles, golden colored buckles with a crown on it, all sorts of different ones. But what I really want to know is how the standard infantry belt looks like. If anyone has any good pictures of it, that would be really appreciated.

Here you can see mine, it was originally painted brown: http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?showtopic=3145 (in the middle of the page).

So that's the buckle standard infantry was issued to wear? If so, thanks a lot for linking me to the picture

There was another model, simple (probably painted black), more common in the pictures but it is apparently very similar with the one used in the post war era. So it's hard to tell which one is original and which one isn't.

Here is one currently on Ebay. Can anyone verify its orginality?

Yes all of the items are original Romanian army; but all of them are post war, the web belt with buckle and the copper belt buckle are post '89, the other belt and buckle might be from the communist era (I use one for my WWII impression but I intend to change the belt with one made from smooth leather).
In Romania a correct price for the lot is maximum 20ron (about 5,7euro). This post has been edited by mihnea on December 05, 2006 11:33 am |
