I enjoyed very much (more than at an avarage interv.).
Mr Georgescu is a great guy.He is a painter and unless you look closely you won't even notice that he has no left hand. The problem was that Mr G's dog,a superb Chow Chow named Lexus, made a lot of noises that were recorded and I had to call Mr G on phone several times in order to complete the parts "cenzured" by Lexus. Next interw will be with a Savoia pilot,Eusebie Hladiuc, that Me and Victor took last summer. |

Yeah, when you wrote the wrong adress and we even battled some dogs looking for the right building.

Very interesting interview, guys!
I only wish if you could 'speed up' the process of taking interviews with veteran airmen before they pass away... Also, if possible, try to locate airmen located also outside Bucharest, thus lesser known. One such worthwile 'target' would be Aurel Tifrea, an 'ace' with 15 victories. He is a very colourful character, BTW. If you wish, I can give you his address (valid some 20 years ago, when I met him at a reunion at Predeal). About Slt. av. Georgescu, the day when he was wounded, he flew Bf 109G-2, 'White 28', Werknummer 19528. That day, BTW, Aug. 17, no fewer than six Rumanian Bf 109Gs were hit in combat. If you will talk to him next time, can you ask him - politely, of course - how come he did not have any victory claims when he had over 100 combat missions logged. |

Given the relatively short time spent on the front (a little over a month), probably he did not have too many opportunities. I suspect that most of his missions were providing fighter cover to Axis convoys and they rarely met and engaged VVS-ChF aircraft. |

If I remember well, all the times You came with me there were some "incidents" Stoian didn't hear well the date we're coming, Dobran's intercom was not working,Stinge didn't liked us the first time, and we had dificulties findind the adreses of Axente and Nicolae Traian. Not to mention that we were atacked by dogs tha day we met Hladiuk  It seems to me you are bad luck    |

As if I was to blame that you understood the 13th police station instead of the 14th (or whatever) when we visited Axente or that you were fascinated by that hideous bulldog when we went to N. Traian. |

Actually I think we could be able to go on a visit on 10 or 11 February. I have an exam on 9 February and the last one on 16 and if all goes well, I do not plan to stress myself too much with the last one, especially since it's a lousy course. |

I tried to talk Claudiu into going after a tank ace, but he did not show too much enthusiasm.

Cammon' guys,I cannot do everything by myself.
Try to find around some vets and take them an interview. Victor and Dragos will be happy as well as we all. |
