At the beginning of may 1945(maybe 7th may 1945, but it is sure, that this accident didn’t happen at 4th of may 1945) crashed in the Divoky village district near Kromeriz (Czech Republik) messerschmitt Bf 109 due to unsuccesfull emergency landing. According to eye-wittness was in this plane Romanian pilot, who should have died during this accident. We managed to found some remains on the place of crash , which are from Bf 109. Although we didn’t manage to find any Romanian pilot on cemeteries in district of Kromeriz. We are trying to get to know some closer infos about pilot, unit and werknummer Bf 109.
I have read only , that this day (7th may 1945) should have Bf 109 from G9V made air support of ground forces in Prostejov area. The Divoky village is lying between Prostejov and Piestany where had this unit its homebase. Best regards. |

That Traian Darjan's plane.
He's from gr9 vanatoare, and he's the only 109 pilot who died there. He was taken and burried in Romania. That's why there's no grave. |

No, C-2, Dârjan died much earlier, on Febr. 25, far away from Kromeriz.
The '109 Frenk is looking for was flown by Adj. av. G. Scordila, who crashed his airplane on May 7. He didn't die, though. Frenk, did you find any parts that still has the original paint on? Gen. Dénes This post has been edited by Dénes on December 19, 2006 09:21 pm |

Denes, do you have some info on Werk No. of Scordila's BF109, and the plane number and paintscheme? was it an erla model (canopy), or IAR-made one? i see that in this picture, Scordila is the tall one. (img source http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/foto1/milu2.jpg) again, here, the first one:(source http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?sh...pic=704&st=120) thx, electric This post has been edited by electric on December 20, 2006 12:13 pm |

Dobran just caled me.
It may be Scordila . They had a mission and at 2000 m they heard him on the radio saying that his engine is down and making a belly landing. He was hit by AA. He came back the next day. Another mission on the 8/th against ss and parts from Vlasov's army. This time Ursache was missing. He landed on an soviet airfield with only women . He came back only 2 1/2 days later |

Thanks for all valuable infos, our research will have got new stimuli We can provide only one testimonial from one eye-witness because there isn´t anything records in memory books. And there are no more poeple who emember this event. And we didn´t manage to find any official record. According to eye-witness the plane crashed at the early of may, when the village has already been liberated by romanian army (1st of may 1945). The accident has happened at p. m. hours and the pilot should have died. It should have been a romanian plane which had in the cockpit 20 milimetres cannon which shooting thorough the central line of propeller. The plane crashed on the plot of another witness ( who however already died) and the romanian commander ordered him to clean up remains of the plane. This man has moved remains to his farm, and after his death ( about 1990) were carried out to the scrapyard ( larger parts of wings, rear parts of fuselage etc.) We managed to find in his family combined oil and fuel pressure gauge, which is typical for G-6 version ( G-2 and –4 had different one). And tow bar of controls. Close to place of crash we managed to find only a perforated sheet metal with pieces of plywood, which is typical for Bf-109 we know them from another recoveries of Bf-109. There were placed parts of radio equipment on the plywood. According to logo of Messerschmitt company and the letter „R“ I assume that this plane was manufactured in Regensburg factory. It is interesting that most of Bf-109 G-6 from G9V from the end of World war 2 (known from literatur) were manufactured in Regensburg (W. Nr. 165-166xxx). However we haven´t found any part with camouflage colors, because most of the plane was carried out to scrapyard. We are in touch with the family of former owner of the plot, where emergency landed Adj. Av. Ghitu Scordila and they will be sure very happy for provided infos. We have obtained some photos and memoirs ( C-2) from internet. We are interesting in his closer fates, as if he had some victories, where he was born and as if he still alive. The memoirs of our eye-witnesses can have some mistakes because of a long time from this events. |
