i think i may be able to help.
LdstK most probably is the abbrevation for Landsturmkompanie. the document is a decoration for unusual bravery in front of the enemy. he is awarded the silver cross of merit with the crown (Verdienstkreuz mit der Krone) "on the ribbon" of the medal of bravery (Tapferkeitsmedallie). the only thing i'm rather unsure about is the meaning of "H.Geb.Tel.Ab" which i'd guess to be Heeresgebirgs(?)telefonabteilung (all one word, isn't german beautiful?), meaning army mountain telephone detachment. He is a Landsturmzugführer (Landsturm= militia, Zugführer=squad leader). his rank is Feldwebel (warrant officer (brit.)) if desired, i could translate the document word for for word. |
