Hi,

This is most likely a shot in the dark, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Around Sinaia - more exactly in the forest between Furnica and Cota 1400, there are some dispersed remnants of several pillboxes, and also some foxholes (short trenches, or long foxholes, depending on how you want to look at it).

I remember these clearly because as a kid I played around in this forest every day, during the summer.

Has anyone else seen these, and more importantly, could you give me more detailed information on what they are? I assume they were just a couple of pillboxes dating back to WWI, but perhaps there were some battles in that area that I'm not aware of.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
