Mostly knowed by his lirics, few know that poet George Topirceanu fought as artilery officer in romanian army in WW 1 at Turtucaia bridge head.
He was taken prisonier by bulgarians and he wrote this book about his experiences from the from and from the POW camp. Unique view from a eye witness from WW 1 about Turtucaia desaster. |

I remember reading it many years ago. I liked it a lot - I particularly remember the Easter episode .
