Hello,

I found a reputable collectibles store here in Chicago which specializes on antique jewelry, coins, and military medals.

From memory, here the prices for some of the medals I found. If you are knowledgeable about market prices for these items, I would like to know if they are charging too much or not:

1st Class Iron Cross 1939 - $125
WWI Iron Cross - $110
German badges WWII: Infantry, Panzer, AA (flak) - $75 - $125 depending on the item
Coroana Romaniei (Cavaler) - $90
SA badge - $130

They carry many more WWII medals from various countries, including Bulgaria, Slovakia, Japan, Italy, etc., but these are the onlly prices I can remember.

Are they asking too much in your opinion?

Hello!

The german items are cheap, but the market is flooded with fakes, so I suggest to register to Wehrmacht - Awards Forum? and ask there for any specific item. As far as I know is the best forum regardind german militaria.

A very good and honest dealer is Detlev Niemann, and from what I know is one of the cheapest on the market. I didn't buy anything from him but he is considered the best dealer online.

Peace!

True. Detlev is the best dealer of German medals. Just that you have to be very quick: when he upgrades his site, the nice stuff is sold in the first 5 minutes.

Thanks for your answers, guys.

This is actually also a reputable jeweler/rare coin store. They don't specialize in military medals, which is maybe why the prices are lower.

I'm thinking of buying the Panzer badge or the AA badge, I don't think I'll buy any medals.

Thanks for recommending the other two sites. I'll check them out today.
