I have been collecting Rumanian decorations for a few years. I am very confused about the MV order. I have one fine quality 1941 Third Class in silver gilt that is of the quality I would expect. All of the others I have seen are gilded bronze and from the details, practically no two are made by the same maker. Could someone please post some high quality photos of known 1) issue pieces and 2) period second pieces of the 1941 version?
For such a high decoration, the quality of almost all the ones I have seen does not seem good enough. The common Rumanian orders and medals are better quality. Also, what should they be made of? As I understand it, the current issue is made of silver and gilded.
Also, the First Class pin back badge: How many 1941's were awarded? From the list on the site, only a few of the highest ranking German generals were awarded the MV. How many Germans total got the First Class MV? Are the names known?

There is a First Class 1941 MV on the current Zeige auction. Is it an award piece or a second piece?
Had trouble trying to post photos of other badge.

I saw the picture on the Zeige site, and what strikes me as unusual is that it's a MV 1st class with Swords.

As far as I know, the First Class of the order looked different. There are both the cyphers of Ferdinand and Michael and the dates 1916 and 1941 on the obverse.
I suspect that yours is a recently made copy.

Yes boonicootza is right, yours is a modern copy.

Look what is writen on the ww2 site about the Order Michel the Brave 1941 first class:

"On the 1941 model, the cipher of Mihai I and the year 1941 were added on the cross: 1st class had from up to down: 1916, Ferdinand's cipher, Mihai's cipher and 1941."
