Captain, Military Gendarne 1941-1945. Gendarne wore white collar patches. This uniform could also have belonged to the Palace Guard Regiment late war period 1945. The Palace Guard Regiment removed the Royal Crown insignias from their shoulder boards and fancy wire bullion Guard braid from their collar patches.

Lieutenant - Vanatori de Munte Sappaur (Engineers). Worn until 1942 when gilt buttons were changed out to plain khaki buttons. Uniform remained the same throughout the war. Very Scarce uniform. Insignia patch colors are gray (Vanatori de Munte), Black with red piping (Engineers). Cap insignia has the addition of the Alpine insignia.

I really like you engineers tunic. I am partial to engineer/sapper items as I was an engineer in the Army. I served in the Combat Engineers...

I used to have many Third Reich engineer uniforms to include one "Grossduetschland" NCO tunic. I sold most 3rd Reich items as I lost interest. My interest has gone to Romanian and Bulgarian amry items and history but Romanian militaria and books are hard to find.

Colonel - Cavalry, 1941-1945
Buttons are khaki green plastic, Colar patch is Rasberry Red color for Cavalry and the shoulder boards retain the pre-war cornflower rosette style cavalry buttons in silver which was customary among cavalry officers after the uniform button change. I beleive that the color silver may have indicated that he was administration.

Second Lieutenant Medical. Rustic red colar patches for the Medical branch. Tunic is made of very high quality tailoring not typical of WW2 khaki uniforms. Buttons are the 1942 period khaki plastic. Shoulder boards are stiff and made of the same suit material with brass metal rank bar stripe typical of the 1930's period. Tunic also has the wide lapels typical of the 1930's period. Perhaps belonging to a wealthy doctor drafted during the war. I think that many officers in reserve status prior to WW2 were reinstated during the war and wore their old uniforms pre-1941 with small modifications.
