Vlad - What periods are you looking for ? WW2 or pre-WW2 ? I have some WW2 Cavalry uniforms and insignia posted in the Collectors Forum. WW2 uniforms and WW2 shoulder boards topic. Let me know what interests you and I will post them in the collectors corner.

Actualy I´m interested in all romanian cavalry records, but since this forum discuss only WWI and WWII, thats suficient for now.
I saw the uniforms fotos in some topics, but I didn´t found anithing about equipement like : boots, hats, helmets, swords, sadles, etc.

I apreciate your atention.
Sincerely,
Vlad

Actualy I would like to have the book laugh.gif Where did you got it? Where can I buy?

Is dificult to say what I want since I love horses and consequently cavalry.
But this forum treads onli IWW and IIWW so why dont you post some photos of equipment like sadle, bridles, uniforms, boots, etc.

Best to you

... i found the book at "anticariat" - sorry, my english is bad, fortunately i understand all.
I like it. I never read about cavalry until this book. I found some heroyc "sharje" small story. Verry impressive. Picture from the book have a poor quality, and i had little time, no time for Photoshop work (one of my hobby  ). In what citty you live? Im from Calarasi. You have any friends or relatives here? If yes, i give him / her the book for you.

I posted this photo on a Hungarian military forum asking if the cavalrymen are indeed Hungarians, as written on the rear side of the original photo, taken by a German sodier (they appear to me not to be Hungarians).
The forumites agreed that they are not Hungarian. Some of them suggested they are Rumanians - which I don't agree with.
What is your opinion, who are these soldiers?

They might be Slovakians as they have typical side-caps, with the badge on the left side, pointed pocket flaps and carried VZ-24 rifles.

Hello Mihai, since I was not receiving any satisfactory answer in forum i abandoned it, but I'm back again. I'm not an expert . I can see the foto of general Antonescu, there is also a gentelman wearing a pelerina of Mihai Viteazu oder, but I dont see any sword.

I have an answer, does anyone knows wich cavalry regiment was in Tirgoviste in the end of 1941 ?
