I bought this belt/aguilette recently. I think it's Romanian, it came in a lot of royal period belts, sword hangers and ledunkas.
What was it's purpose? When was it used?

Thanks!

This is a Hussar style waist sash carried also by Romanian cavalry (Roshiori and Calarashi) on the ceremonial uniform.

you could talk to my wife's grandfather who lived about 4 building down from where you used to live in Iasi. He was in the 7th regiment cavlary. Also received the rucksack, came through okay. Have the oil for the leather to correct it now.
