Hello Kev,

I've just been advised that Carol II exchanged orders with Zog in the mid-1930s...a Collar of Albania {CoA} for a Carol I collar.  While I have long known that Zog had the Carol I, I was unaware that he'd given the CoA to Carol.  Have you run across any such info?  Do you know anyone else who might have this info.  (Recall the Bucharest Military Museum did not have a CoA on display.??)

I'm pretty sure that Zog gave the CoA to Albert I and Victor Emmanuel III.  Two Mussolini bios mention that he received it as well.  But have no documentation or photos of any of them wearing it.  The "Royal Ark" site claims he also gave it to Faud I and Farouk, again, I've no proof.  (Have checked out the Brussels Dynasty and Menza (Cairo) museums without any positive results.)  Years ago, someone told me that Alexander of Yugoslavia also had the CoA but I've no proof of that.

Thanks for any help you could offer. Cheers,  E.J.

Any info or help appreciated.
