Buttons have a lion symbol on them, the insignia on the sleeve cuffs dont look like a Romanian style, but I have been wrong before, so opinions please.

Artillery tunic circa 1934-1939. This is not a WW1 tunic as stated.

If it's a uniform from 1934, why the kepi has the ciphre of king Ferdinand, who was dead at that time?

It is a M. 1930 gala uniform of an Artillery Colonel. This uniform was worn for ceremonial dress (with fringed epaulettes) or gala dress (with trefoil-epaulettes) until April 1941.
According an order of December 1927, officers should have on their head-dress the cipher of the king who was reigning when they graduated the military school as second-lieutenants. During the 1930s it was common to see in the same regiment officers carrying different ciphers (of Carol I, Ferdinand I, Mihai and Carol II) on their head-dresses according their seniority in the branch of service. |
