For whom it may concern:
The source of the photo above is http://stiri.turismalba.ro/ where the explanation of the photo is "Festivalul Cetatilor Dacice un brand al Serviciului Turism" - "Festival of Dacian Fortifications a brand of the Tourism Service". |

Very interesting photo. Unfortunately, in the article I didn’t find any information concerning what really happened on that event and what those Dacian people were doing there.

I found a trace of the romanian reenactors of Dacians into another forum, by chance.
Kepi, if it is any interest on these guys, just let me know to give you the link. |

Here, on this forum, the romanian reenactor of Dacian warrior posted: http://www.romanarmy.com/rat/viewtopic.php?t=19117
On a different topic, he even presented his group armament: sica, knives and so on. |

@21 inf: Thanks for the information. It would be great if the guy will succeed to make an accurate Dacian warrior costume. Very few people really know how the Dacians were really dressed, equipped and fought.
Many people still has an idealistic idea about our ancestors impression, similar to the characters of Sergiu Nicolaescu’s movies… |

One of my friends tries to make for reenactment the armament and equipment of a soldier from XII or XIII century from Transylvania (romanian, cuman or "peceneg" - as I dont know the translation into english of the last nation).
Can one inform about weaponry and equipment of that era, please? |

Pecenegi - Patzinaks or simply Pechenegs.

I have a very good recomandation for the guys and ladies from Terra Dacica Aeterna as I colaborated with them during reenactment festival and being in personal contact with them. They are a highly enthusiastic and scientific group, looking to promote old history of nowadays Romania and also looking for fun.
