There are many variations of this patch regarding the weave and materials used. This type of construction is called "Bevo" weave and is made of polish silk. These patches I presume were probably made in Germany or Austria and imported. There are other types of weave and stitch patterns I have seen. Printed cotton. Embroidered cotton, Coarsly embroidered cotton and a stitch incorporating colored beads. |
