hey,

i wondered if anyone could point me to the correct colors used with the painting on the R2 tank.
Looked through several of the tank threads, but couldnt really find anything.

maybe someone can tell me something about turret numbers and symbols.
On the R2 in Bucharest one sees the symbol beside the tank number.
Is this a general marking which could be found on all tanks or rather a division
insignia or individual marking.
Whats the Sr.87. on the side.

Sr. 87 was that specific R-2's serial number.

From the same book. The printing color (and my camera shot) is not 100% real WWII khaky.

I believe the R-2s were delivered in the standard khaki in use by Czechoslovak forces at the time. It would be similar to the green shade on this vehicle:

I have posted these pictures before, it's the drive sprocket from the TACAM R2 as it was stripped of paint (the operation was never finished) but the color was hidden for 60+ years under many layers of paint so it's as good as it gets in my opinion.
