Hallo Gents,
My brother, Anthony in Ireland is currently at work on this, it is a 38(t) built by the Czechs for the Germans..... it has a 37mm gun and was used as a basis for the Marder tank destroyer and the Hetzer, Its in 1/35th scale. Any comments would be welcome if you spot any mistakes, so they can be corrected. Kevin in Deva. This post has been edited by New Connaught Ranger on November 23, 2007 10:17 pm |

If he considers making it in the Romanian army service, here are some pictures that should help for the painting scheme (source: "Trupele blindate din Armata Romana 1919-1947")

Hi Dragos,
Question1: was the number yellow painted or red painted? Question 2: was the color scheme gray or green ? If usually gray, were there any green T-38? I've painted mine in green Question 3: did these T-38 had the usual colored Michael cross on the rear side on the engine ? Question4: do you have other drawings of Romanian tanks : T-3, T-4, R-2, Stugs ? Question 5: Where could I find the book? Thanks This post has been edited by johnny_bi on November 24, 2007 01:42 am |

Regarding Q1, it is indeed a contradiction in this book. Must ask the authors. Q2: I don't know of any green/olive paint for the T-38 tanks, but given the circumnstances these tanks were delivered, I think they retained the Panzer grey overall coat. Q3: I don't know, but again, I think it may have been some field improvisation if any. Q4: What do you mean by drawings? I don't have neither blueprints nor artwork except what can be found on the Internet or the Modelism magazine. Q5: You can try at the Military Museum, or you can get one directly from me as I have several (PM) |

Hallo dragos
many thanks for your suggestions, my brother is an avid tank modeler, but, I do not think he has any Romanian "style" (e.g. any models in Romanian Service) in his collection and this would be a good model to paint in the Romanian style!! Kevin in Deva. |

Same thing for the RED cross inside the yellow Michael cross. |
