Hallo Gentlemen,
Having passed along the road to Uricani once before, my eyes had been drawn to a large beton monument in a small graveyard on a windswept hill side, so I bailed out of the car and with camera headed off to investigate while my buddy Ovi went about his business. There are: 20 unknown Romanian graves. 12 known German graves. 5 known Romanian graves. 7 unknown Hungarian graves 1 known Hungarian graves. The graves are intermixed to the left of the monument 3 rows of 13 graves, and to the front right of the monument 2 rows of 3 graves. In the back right corner is located a post war Romanian grave: In the foreground next to the road are local families graves with no connection to the military, about 40 meters to the left of this small graveyard is another section for the locals and under a large Pine tree this grave to a former member of the Romanian Communist military: http://www.worldwar2.ro/forum/index.php?sh...t=0entry62685 Kevin in Deva.
