Hi! I have a question about the M1893 Carabine Mannlicher of the Romanian army: did it have some kind of bayonet? Or no bayonet was used with it? Thanks!

Thank you very much! Here are some more photos: the stock is good, the iron has some pitting, the bolt is badly"deactivated" but I still like it very much!

Papers - no idea what, each country has its own gun laws. In my country, for this particular rifle I need no documents, because it is deactivated, it is a decorative thing, not a weapon anymore. Got it from a local fellow collector who decided it is out of his collecting theme.

Tedi, this is actually a shortened infantry rifle. Probably it was done so in Romania before WW1 !?

All the Mannlicher 93's acquired by the Romanian army were made by Steyr and were always in short number so cutting rifles into carbines was illogical. And after war there were only a very small number of M93's that were used for training porpoises. So there was never a short rifle like was the case in Bulgaria with the m95's.
