Several years ago I ordered and paid in advance for a copy of the IAR80 book shown on the following French website:

http://renax.club.fr/sharkit/TMA/TMA.htm

However, the publisher will not answer my email enquiries and does not seem to pick up the telephone when I ring.

Does anyone know what is happening to the French edition of this book? Has it come out yet?

Many thanks,

Sid.

No, the title was not published (yet). I have also pre-paid for a copy several years ago. dry.gif

When I asked them this Summer, the authors didn't seem to know any more, either.

Maybe a scam?
Best case scenario, just a very unprofesional attitude from the publisher.

Hopefully it's the latter.

Sid,
I would suggest you to open a similar topic on a more "international" forum (like btw http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/ ), were you could find more people in your situation. I myself know some 3 ones living around Europe, who feel very frustrated about this ever and ever postponed book.

In this particular situation Jose Fernandez act with a fully unprofessional and intolerable attitude ! mad.gif Even more because he has all the material & photos from Antoniu & Cicos for some a very long time.
2003 ?!

If Jose Fernandez is not willing to print this book, maybe other printing houses would be interested ?! Why keeping this virtual book blocked ?!

Incredible last minute news: the book should be printed in the third week of October 2007. Even more, Mr. Fernandez himself will come next week at Bucuresti to discuss and correct some details.
Hmm unsure.gif let's wait and see how much of this will real happen !

I've heard that one before... years ago.
I truly hope this time it's for real.

P.S. Sid, you've dissapeared lately. I'm glad you're back.

I hope so too Denes!
It has been five years since I heard about the book for the first time.

There is a new issue of Airmagazin? No. 40? The last issue I got was No. 24 (April 2006). At that time I had a subscription that was good for a good while. I have not received anything since then.

No, no ! I'm talking about the French magazine Airmagazin and not about the Romanian sister Aeromagazin.

With a little luck also a new No.25 issue of Aeromagazin will be available short after the IAR-80 book.

No 40 Airmagazine has a nice article by Dan M. about the events of 10 june 1944. Bravo!!!

At least the magazine appears regulary. But i think that it's not the end of our wait of the IAR 80 book. For the instant another book has the priority... waitting from 2003 to be print. So patience... Maybe next month.
