Romanians on WWII German newsreels, From my collection and was surprised

Wanted to share these with everyone. Figured these should go here since they deal with the Romanian army during WWII. I almost have the entire collection of Degeto Weltpiegel newsreels and was looking through them. I had to edit them to get to the ones I wanted to show then had to wait for them to upload to Youtube to use their bandwidth. I hope to find some more and add them as well.

The first one is from the Degeto Weltspiegel number 27. Just a few seconds showing the fall of Odessa to the Romanians.

The second one is from number 44 on the Caucusus Front. Shows Romanians and Germans assualting across a river, hittting the other bank. It also shows two Romanian soldiers killing a Russian sniper who just so happens to be tied to the tree top (for security purposes while filming )

Does anyone have an idea on the units being filmed? Maybe an idea on which unit is seen hanging the flag in Odessa?

It's hard, if not impossible to tell, as the sequence is a collage of which some parts were probably staged. On 16 October elements of several divisions entered Odessa simultaneously. We need to find a report of which unit was first to hoist the Romanian flag in Odessa.

On 16 October, at 1030 hours, forward patrols of the 7th Infantry Division entered Odessa. At 1600 hours the "Eftimiu" Detachment captured the port. By evening the last strongpoints were annihilated.

If we are talking about the FrontSchau newsreels series, you're right, it' mostly collages and brief clips.
In one of them (late 1941 or early 1942), there is a 30 sec clip of Von Bock walking alongside Pantazi, Avramescu and Manoliu. I don't remember if Antonescu appeared in that clip or not.

That is one of the reasons not too fond of the newsreels, a collage of different films. True some staged as easily id'ed. Still to know the unit that raised the flag would be interesting to know. Any ideas on what to look for in the other for a chance to possibly ID the units?

Still looking through the other ones. Think I might have found some glimpses of Romanian mountain troops alongside the Germans in the Crimea.
