The soldier on the left side of the picture wears a diferent uniform.Any idea what kind of uniform it is? Russian?

Denes, that collision (10 mai 1940) was in air or at ground? How escape both pilots? How was burned my uncle?

The collision happened in the air, and both pilots escaped with parachute (bailed out).

Very nice photos! Was the white headgear (in combination with the blue-grey airforce uniform) specific for the interwar (pre 1941) period? What about the white ceremonial uniform (like that in the second picture from the first page)?
