Hi Kevin,
There are at least two differences, the coat of arms and the number of rivets on the back. RPR model is with two rivets. I'm not sure that it's always like that but I don't remember seeing a RPR moder only with one rivet. Of course, the best way is to see what is written on the coat of arms. -------------------- ~

Hallo boonicoottza
many thanks for the quick reply with regards my initial question. So its the Coat of Arms with R.P.R. or R.S.P. one rivet versus two rivets, Do you know if there were different manufacturers involved in the production or only one firm? Kevin in Deva. |

As far as I know only the National Mint made the medals and orders in the communist period.

In charge of the biurocratic side of this problem was a special service with " MAREA ADUNARE NATIONALA" (romanian "parlament" of the time). It was called,if i remember corectly, "Directia pentru ordine si medalii".
